Waivers and Discounts
The journal may grant partial or full Article Processing Charge (APC) waivers only in exceptional, verifiable, and strictly limited circumstances, as the APC is already maintained at a highly subsidized level.
Eligibility for waivers is restricted to authors who meet all of the following criteria:
- The author is affiliated with an institution located in a low-income country, as defined by recognized international classifications (e.g., World Bank)
- The author is an independent researcher or not supported by any institutional funding mechanism for publication charges
- The author is unable to obtain funding from any external, institutional, or collaborative sources
Waiver requests must include a formal declaration addressing each eligibility criterion and be supported by verifiable documentation. Requests that are incomplete, unverifiable, or fail to meet all criteria will be automatically rejected without review.
To ensure strict control, APC waivers are capped per journal issue at a fixed quota. Once this quota is reached, no additional requests will be considered under any circumstances.
All requests must be submitted exclusively through the submission dashboard at the time of manuscript submission and prior to payment. Requests submitted through other channels or after payment initiation will be automatically rejected.
All waiver decisions are made at the sole discretion of the editorial office, are non-negotiable, and not subject to appeal.
